The Ponsonby News recently wrote an article on What Ever It Takes Rehabilitation’s Director Charmeyne Te Nana-Williams and her achievement in receiving one of New Zealand’s most prestigious awards the Queens Service Medal by celebrating with an investiture dinner.

The investiture dinner was an opportunity for family and friends to congratulate and share in the joy and happiness of Charmeyne’s achievement of receiving the QSM medal for her service and work in the disability sector.

A night of laughter and storytelling were shared as friends and family spoke of her many quote “specialty’s” mistaking the queen’s service medal for the queens shopping medal. This included celebrity friends such as Henewehi Mohi, Stacey and Scotty Morison and brother Karl Tenana.

In a twist of events and testament to Charmeynes ever giving personality, at the conclusion of her speech thanking everyone who helped her along her journey from doom to gloom she presented minister Tariana Turia with a taonga in recognition of her sacrifices and efforts to help Charmeyne along her road to success.
